Bosque Wings Earrings
In early winter we are visited by the Sandhill Cranes that stalk along the shallows of the Rio Grande with bobbing red crowns as they dance with their white wings spread wide. Year round, our resident neighbors include roadrunners that dash among the cactus down the street and peacocks squawking as we bike to the co-op. Seasonal black crows fill the bare branches of the Cottonwood trees. The giant pines behind our home shelter a lifelong pair of Harris Hawks caring for their nestlings. And, on lucky few sightings, the magnificent Bald Eagle may be spotted. Many wings glide and flutter through the Bosque that surrounds us.
